Blizzard downloader very slow

There is another way to do it without IE: 1. Open Control Panel. Find "Network and sharing center". In the bottom left corner of the screen there is "Internet Options", click on it. Just as above, open the connections tab 5. Press "LAN Settings" 6. For those of you who hate IE, you're welcome! Last edited by shad8w; at PM.

Sorry to hear that! We'd like to know what's wrong. Please check any which apply: This information isn't relevant to my issue. This article is unclear or poorly written. While this means that players will need to monitor the update, fans that are very excited to experience the new Modern Warfare content may prefer that to the alternative of having slow download speeds.

Improve this answer. Resorath Resorath I highly advise against using DMZ for your computer unless you absolutely know what you're doing. It presents a high security risk to unprotected computers. Nick For a limited time period placing yourself in the DMZ is fine. There's no point in risk when port forwarding works just fine. If I'm not mistaken you'd already have to have malicious software on your system or poorly developed software that opens up vulnerabilities for anyone to make use of this, in combination with them finding your IP address whether scanning a range or targetting you in the brief span of time you have it open.

You're at more risk browsing the web in internet explorer. Its a matter of one option presenting risk and another having zero risk.

There are too many unknowns about the OP's computer and the goal is to give good advice. Show 1 more comment. The following, however, did work wonders for me: Open up Internet Explorer whether it's your main browser or not. Click on the Connections tab. Click the Lan settings button. Uncheck the "Automatically detect settings" checkbox.

Restart your Blizzard Downloader. Sterno Sterno I love settings that are only available in the browser. I thought there used to be a way to access this without IE, though. I can't find it anymore. I tried your suggestion but download is as slow as before, thank you anyway. You rock!
