So it couldn't continue installation.. However, when I run the bit Preview, it gives me two different error messages.
I am using the "Windows 8. There are no bit options. Here are the error messages:. Certain guests e. This bit application couldn't load because your PC doesn't have a bit processor.
You'll need to use recovery tools. I can bypass the first error message and continue on to boot up the system. I get the second message upon boot.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled to see if these 64bit options show up in Win 8. I tried the vboxmanage longmode command on a new Ubuntu The command completes but I still get the error starting up the VM about x and detecting only i Any other things to try? So I removed this from "Turn Windows Features on or off" and I am now able to see these 64bit linux options. Thank you again. After rebooting, the issue was resolved.
